. Clarification of the degradation mechanisms and quantification of their extent, with respect to art objects collected inWP2.
. Development and formulation of specific and detailed conservation strategies for art objects analysed within the frameworks of the project (WP4).
. Development and formulation of recommendations for conservation strategies which could be useful for art objects derived from civilizations and historical periods, studied within the frameworks of the project. |
 |
Codification of information obtained by other work packages and are necessary for the development of appropriate conservation strategies, such as:
. Analytical results obtained from art objects (task 4.2).
. Codification of the ancient recipes and reconstruction of them (task 5.1).
. U nderstanding of the ageing deterioration mechanisms (task 5.3).
Recommendations for conservation strategies works in two levels, as follows:
. Reports associated with the degradation extent of the art objects analysed in WP 4. Codification of appropriate conservation strategies. Submission of the reports to the entities, responsible for the preservation of the objects.
. Recommendations regarding conservation strategies for objects created by similar technologies (i.e. derived by civilizations and/or historical periods) with the studied art objects. |
 |
| D8.1. Recommendations for conservation and restoration strategies of art objects typical for the cultural heritage of the Mediterranean area. |
 |
. Assessment of the degradation extent observed in art objects collected in task 2.3. Expected result: Development of specific recommendation strategies for restoration and conservation.
. Assessment of the degradation mechanisms dangerous for the preservation of art objects of the Mediterranean area Expected result: Development of recommendation strategies for restoration and conservation of the Mediterranean cultural heritage. |
For STREPs/STIPs each WP must relate to one (and only one) of the following three possible Activity Types: RTD/Innovation activities, Demonstration activities, Management activities.
Milestones are points where major results have successfully been achieved as the basis for the next phase of work, or which serve as control points at which decisions are needed; for example concerning which of several technologies will be adopted as the basis for the next phase of the project. |
