| Start date or starting event |
28 th month |
| Activity Type |
RDT/Innovation activities |
|

|
 |
. Pilot (industrial) production of natural organic pigments and corresponding standards.
. S trengthening the European and the Mediterranean market and economy.
. Financial interrelation of the EU with the Mediterranean area.
. Commercial exploitation of the project results and outcomes. |
 |
. Preliminary evaluation of the production cost at an industrial scale, for dyestuffs/pigments and corresponding standards, obtained in WP3, WP5 and WP6.
. Optimisation of the production processes to minimize the cost.
. Final determination of the total (production) cost.
. Specification of market and customer priorities and needs.
. Clarification of the materials that will finally produced.
. Production of the selected materials and substances at a pilot industrial scale.
. Transfer of the know-how industrial production of natural organic pigments and standards to the Mediterranean partners. |
 |
D7.1. Large-scale production processes for massive production of natural organic pigments/dyestuffs and colouring components. Technical-financial report and economic efficiency.
D7.2. List of new natural organic pigments and corresponding colouring components (standards) available in the market. |
 |
. Minimization of the production cost of natural organic pigments. Expected result: Codification and optimisation of the production processes (WP6) and further optimisation at an industrial scale should minimize the cost.
. Assessment of the materials with a large merit in the Mediterranean and European market. Expected result: Some materials (e.g. kermesic acid) are expected to be in great demand. These will be considered as a project priority.
. Technology (know-how) transfer to the Mediterranean partners (area). Expected result: Strengthening the economy of the Mediterranean countries. |
For STREPs/STIPs each WP must relate to one (and only one) of the following three possible Activity Types: RTD/Innovation activities, Demonstration activities, Management activities.
Milestones are points where major results have successfully been achieved as the basis for the next phase of work, or which serve as control points at which decisions are needed; for example concerning which of several technologies will be adopted as the basis for the next phase of the project. |
