Recommendations for developing successful conservation strategies will be based on the meticulous (molecular level) analysis of the dyestuff components, found in the analysed art objects and upon clarification of the dyeing technologies used by the corresponding ancient civilizations. A database will be constructed, in a friendly electronic environment, which will include all the historical and physicochemical results obtained along with recommendations for conservation strategies. The database will be disseminated primarily to the Mediterranean countries, by specific initiatives. Internet, publications and meetings will be also exploited for a broad dissemination, worldwide, of the achievements of the project
